1. General Provisions
This website (the “Site”) is operated by the International Press‑in Association (IPA), a non‑profit unincorporated association based in Japan. The ICPE2027 Organizing Committee supports the planning and execution of the ICPE2027 conference but is not a legal entity and does not act as an independent contracting party or data controller. All legal commitments and responsibilities relating to the Site rest with IPA. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Site.
2. Purpose and Changes to Content
The Site provides informationabout ICPE2027 and related activities. Content may be updated, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Revised Terms become effective upon posting to the Site. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
The copyrights to all text, images, charts, audio and video materials, data, layouts, designs, and other content (collectively, the “Content”) displayed on the Site are owned by the IPA or the respective rights holders and are protected by international copyright treaties, including the Berne Convention, as well as applicable national laws. In addition, third-party trademarks remain the property of their respective owners. Any reference to such trademarks on the Site is provided solely for descriptive purposes and does not constitute or imply endorsement, guarantee, or affiliation by the IPA.
4. Prohibited Acts
- The following acts are prohibited:
- Unauthorized reproduction, modification, adaptation, distribution, redistribution, publication (including web posting), or commercial use
- Unauthorized reuse of the Site’s content (including internal distribution) without prior written consent
- Unauthorized use of IPA and ICPE2027 Organizing Committee’s name or logo, or any IPA and ICPE2027 Organizing Committee trademarks or service marks (if any)
- Unauthorized access, interference with website functions, or causing excessive load
- Automated actions such as malware, spam, scraping, or other unauthorized automated data extraction
- Violations of laws and regulations, infringement of third-party rights, or acts contrary to public order and morality
- Other acts that violate the Copyright Act or related laws and regulations, or infringe upon the rights of third parties
5. Citation Requirements
When quoting for academic purposes, clearly indicate the source (IPA and ICPE2027 Organizing Committee name, material name, URL, publication date, etc.). Quotations should be kept to the minimum necessary.
6. Permission Procedure
To reuse content beyond what is permitted by law or an applicable open‑access license, submit a prior application by email to the IPA Secretariat, including the required items set out in the Permission Request Guidelines, stating purpose, scope, and distribution medium. IPA will review and notify approval or denial. Compliance with IPA licensing conditions is mandatory. IPA may revoke permission without notice if terms are violated.
7. External Links and Third-Party Services
The Site may contain links to external websites or use third-party services. IPA assumes no responsibility for the content, accuracy, legality, security, or availability of external websites or third-party services.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
IPA, acting through the ICPE2027 Organizing Committee, makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, usefulness, reliability, or safety of the content. IPA shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from use or inability to use the content, including but not limited to indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Privacy
IPA acts as the data controller for personal data processed via the Site.

Some third‑party service providers may act as independent data controllers for the personal data they process. In such cases, their processing is governed by their own privacy policies. Other service providers may act on behalf of IPA as data processors under appropriate contracts.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or related to these Terms.
However, nothing in these Terms shall limit any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable under the laws of the user’s country of residence.
11. TechnicalRequirements
The Site is designed to function with modern web browsers that comply with current web standards. Examples include recent versions of Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari.
Users accessing the Site with outdated browsers may experience display or functionality issues. Certain materials are provided in PDF format. Accessing such materials requires compatible PDF viewing software. The IPA and ICPE2027 Organizing Committee do not endorse any specific software product and accept no responsibility for third-party software.
12. Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (including analytics tools). IPA obtains your consent for non‑essential cookies via its cookie banner and consent management platform (CMP). Some analytics tools may collect online identifiers or device information; IPA configures these tools to activate only based on your consent and to respect your preferences as indicated in the cookie banner. IPA uses Google Analytics (GA). Analytics cookies are activated only with your prior consent. GA settings are implemented to limit data collection in accordance with applicable guidance.
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where such transfers occur, appropriate safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

13. Event Registration, Payments, and Refunds
Registration for ICPE2027 will be processed through an external registration and payment service. While IPA, acting through the ICPE2027 Organizing Committee, define the ICPE2027 Registration and Refund Policy (including refund deadlines, cancellation conditions, substitutions, and fee categories), all payment processing is subject to the terms and conditions of the external service provider. The ICPE2027 Registration and Refund Policy will be published prior to the opening of registration.
14. Event Changes and Force Majeure
IPA, acting through the ICPE2027 Organizing Committee, may make changes to the conference program, speakers, schedule, format (including a switch between in‑person, hybrid, or virtual formats), or venue. IPA shall not be liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond its reasonable control (including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, wars, governmental actions, or failures of utilities or hosting providers). Refund eligibility, if any, will be governed by the ICPE2027 Registration and Refund Policy in effect at the time of registration.
15. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. IPA may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on the Site. Continued use of the Site after such posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
